Be happy for this moment.
This moment is your life.

My social life revolves around ward activities lately.
Here's some highlights of some of my favorite moments.
*
I went to a pinterest party hosted by 2 wards.
It was put on by the young women.
We went from table to table and gathered "pins"
and got many ideas.
I went with my DIL Marci and my grand daughter
Dakota.
and of course the best part was dipping yummy treats into chocolate.
Go get 'em KoKO....

My Relief Society celebrated our Birthday Party by attending " This is the
place Heritage park"
Historic interpreters in period dress
related stories of 4 Utah pioneer Sisters,
and their struggles to come and settle here in the Valley.

One of the presenters said we often times think and say "How did
the pioneers do what they did? I could never have done it
to which she replied
of course you could"
*
We were counseled to leave behind something
for our posterity, that
for our posterity, that
would strengthen them and help their Testimonies
grow by sharing our trials with them.
grow by sharing our trials with them.
We were also reminded that those faithful sisters
who have gone ahead of us, and whom we admire
as valiant pioneers are cheering us on.
That they know our names, and think we are pioneers
in our day to endure the many trials we face in a modern society.

Our evening together helped us find inspiration
from the past and feel peace as we face the future, of our own frozen rivers.
from the past and feel peace as we face the future, of our own frozen rivers.
Everyone was given one of these charms of a covered wagon, with the saying:
Every Sorrow endured,
every fear Conquered, every challenge faced
made my fore bearers who they were
and made me who I am.
*
Our ward celebrated St Pa tricks by having a party.
Everyone wore green and shared their talents.
Tables were set up and showed quilts, art work, poetry..
A little of everything. We had musical numbers, magic tricks and
plain ole fun and laughs.
I took 3 of my grand daughters over to help me give a
little support and of course to have some treats♥

Fun activities! I love the idea of leaving something behind for our posterity to help strengthen them and their testimonies.
I noticed one of the display signs had the name Rosemary Voightlaender. She has to be related to the Voightlaenders I grew up with in Sandy!
