LIFE BEGINS AT THE END OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
Since my release as Relief Society President, and Mark soon to retire, we both wanted to serve a mission together.
Because of health concerns we needed a calling close to home but where we could serve together.
Long story short…..The Lord guided us to the Wasatch youth center where we are volunteers. We help boys ages 12-18 who are at risk or have committed crimes.
We meet every Sunday for Sacrament meeting first, then we help out at the boys home, girls home, Christmas Box house, or the crisis center, or you can stay and have Sunday School with the prisoners.
On Wednesday nights we go for one hour and play games, give a lesson or do crafts.
We are trying to emulate the Savior and help others find hope and share love and support as best we can.
no judgment..just love

What an amazing calling I'm sure this will turn out to be. Helping some of those that most need it. You will be wonderful.
Splenda Daddy and I have had our eye on this calling for awhile. Some friends in our ward are serving there or somewhere similar. The Woodbury's.
Sounds like it would be a great calling and a real way to stretch oneself!
