Easter is about our Savior and his atoning sacrifice and gift of the Resurrection.
This picture has special meaning to me, because our Son Brandon gave it to us
while he was serving on his mission. I love that he is smiling.
The Heugly Celebration began with Great grandpa Heugly.
It is his tradition and our respect that we share this day with him.
We all have such a great time.
To begin our Easter this year we met at the Wasatch branch and fed over 35 boys who are in jail, breakfast along with the staff members and volunteers.
We served them breakfast casserole, fresh fruit, bananas, milk, juice and sweet rolls.
They had made thank you posters for us expressing love and gratitude for our willingness to try and help them better their lives and showing up every week to teach them life skills.
One of the boys blessed the food, and when he blessed all the boys families that hey would have a nice Easter, I lost it. Very spiritual and very rewarding. We had to be there by 7:30 am.
After that we went to the Christmas box house and read stories, played games, found eggs that we hid for them and decorated hard boiled eggs. These are kids that have been removed from their homes through no fault of theirs.
This is the April Tree they had decorated in the hall.
